What will it fund? Broadly speaking, projects that have enabled people to take part in art, sport, heritage and community activities, as well as projects that promote education, the environment and health in the local community. Among the activities listed as the kind it can support are a project to develop artistic skills such as creative writing among young adults and sports facilities for young people on an urban estate.

The money can be spent on a broad range of activities and materials including putting on a performance, running a conference, professional fees, research costs and health and safety equipment. Aylesbury Youth Action used a 5,000 grant to create a large mural celebrating local cultural diversity. The work was created on wooden panels and has since toured locations across the Vale of Aylesbury.
