This will be the programme's third year.
How much is on offer? There are 30 award packages of 2,000 each plus a complimentary one megabyte per second AOL Broadband Gold package.
Who can apply? Charities and community groups, but not schools, colleges, local authorities, health authorities or groups promoting political parties. Money can be spent on revenue or capital projects. Winners in the previous two years include the Birmingham Repertory Theatre, which used its 2,000 to create a special area on its web site for a new writing and drama project aimed at inner-city young people; the Notting Hill Housing Trust in west London, which is setting up a 24-hour community youth radio station; and Norfolk Young People's Development Group, which has set up a web-based gateway for disabled young people to communicate and socialise.
