Goals: To allow deafblind children, young people and adults to go on holiday
Funding: Most of the 200,000 costs of the annual project are met by deafblind charity Sense
The annual ritual of heading off for your summer holidays is much more complicated if you have a sensory impairment, and for this reason deafblind charity Sense runs an annual programme of trips for disabled children, young people and adults.
Most of the on average 25 holidays a year are based in the UK, varying from typical country cottage trips to visits to more specialised activity centres and specially adapted venues. There is also an annual visit to a Center Parcs complex.
