Funding: 120,000 over three years from the Association of London Government and 75,000 from Comic Relief
Freestyle London is an umbrella project set up to build a suitable infrastructure for LGBT youth services in the English capital. It is managed by the Consortium of Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual Voluntary and Community Organisations.
Freestyle London was born after London Youth successfully bid for funding in the late 90s to employ a male and a female worker to develop more information services for LGBT young people. The consortium later applied for further funding from the Association of London Government and Comic Relief to set up Freestyle.
