Project notes

1 min read

Goals: For young people to educate their peers about the dangers of drugs and alcohol in their own words.

Funding: The project will cost in the region of 10,000. The local crime and disorder reduction partnership has offered to cover the start-up costs.

Further funding is being sought from the local primary care trust and other organisations.

Broaching the subject of drugs and alcohol to young people is never easy, but eight young women from East Sussex think they have a solution.

The young women, aged 13 to 23, all attend the Newhaven Children's Initiative and are producing a board game to help other young people learn about the problems.
