Mission: To give young people the chance to get involved with art
Funding: Lambeth Youth Offending Team staff time
Young people from Lambeth Youth Offending Team (YOT) curated the Koestler Trust's annual exhibition, Art by Offenders, at the Royal Festival Hall. The Koestler Trust supports the creation of art in prisons and aims to help offenders lead more positive lives by motivating them to get involved in creative arts.
This year's show is supported by the Youth Justice Board to mark its 10th anniversary and began on 27 September. Its run ends on 8 November. This year's exhibition showcases the artistic talents of young and adult offenders and marks the first time that young people who have offended have selected the work.
