A spokesman for the department said no publication date had been set, but confirmed it should be ready by the end of the year. He said it would contain "strong guidance" on how 200m of lottery money would be spent.
Play campaigners have expressed anger at the length of time it has taken the Government to respond to the review, which was published in January.
