I am a cared-for young person and I want to tell you about the exciting things I have done in the holidays.

I went to the library with other cared-for young people where we listened to stories, did craft activities and played games. One time a person came and she had some animals and she talked about them, and it was great fun. Some of the animals we were able to hold, like the snake, the cockroach and the millipede, but we were not allowed to hold the scorpion or the tarantula.

Afterwards, we went downstairs to have a little party to celebrate my friend Mat's birthday, we had a book read to us, and we had cake and we did a quiz.

We went to a learning centre at the Leicestershire County Cricket Club, which was great fun. There were a lot of things to do, like playing on the cricket ground and going on the computers in the learning centre, and I made friends like Helen and Josh and Andrew. It was the best.
