Created in March 2002, the project uses workshops involving local police and young people and a training video that asks police officers not to use provocative language or show signs of non-necessary aggression.
Yahwe said: "Maybe stop and search should not exist, but while it does, it should not discriminate against young people from ethnic minorities."
Lambeth Youth Council was one of nine groups invited to the Parliamentary youth hearing on community cohesion on 4 March. Young people told politicians ,including youth minister Ivan Lewis and Claire Ward, chair of the all-party parliamentary group for youth affairs, how their projects were addressing issues such as youth inclusion in democratic processes and the integration of young people in the community.
