They will attend a conference organised by US organisation the National Youth Leadership Council, based on the theme of "Citizens not spectators: fulfilling the promise of democracy".
The Lambeth team will join delegates from Sweden and Finland for a presentation on youth empowerment in Europe.
Andy Hamflett, youth council development manager at Lambeth Council, said: "Although great strides have been made over here, the US appears to be so far ahead of us in active citizenship and youth involvement."
Hamflett will be accompanied by peer education officer Andrea Legal-Miller and six members of the youth council's working party. The event will take place from 28-31 March.
