The role of young people's voice and influence worker, with an annual salary of 14,787 to 15,825, is open to 17- to 20-year-olds. It is the first position to be created specifically for a young person in the borough, which is running drop-in sessions for interested young people over the next two weeks.
Sarah Stembridge, children and young people's involvement manager at the borough, said: "The role will involve collecting young people's ideas, helping to organise events and helping to deliver training for young people and adults." Stembridge said the local authority was looking for someone who was confident and a good communicator.
