Many schools have run taster sessions where parents can try school food since the introduction of healthier school meals, but some have found it difficult to get parents to take part.
As a result, the trust is now working with schools to develop the resource, which will set out ideas to help them entice parents to attend taster sessions.
A spokeswoman for the School Food Trust said: "Parent tasting sessions are essential in getting children to take up healthy school meals."
The trust expects that the resource will be ready in time for the start of the new school year in September.
