Opinion: If I were in charge of supporting victims of crime -David, 16

1 min read
However much anyone tries, crime is still a major part of the society that we live in and, at some stage, it's something that every young person will come into contact with. Perhaps, like me, you've been a victim of crime, or maybe it's happened to a member of your family or a friend.

What the criminal isn't thinking of when they commit the crime is theimpact that it has on that person's life - and the people close tothem.

Speaking from experience, it's a very negative time. Your emotions andthoughts can run wild, often making something a lot worse, and that'swhen support is most vital to a victim of crime.

If I were in charge of supporting victims, I would make sure thateveryone is given the level of support they need to help them. I wouldmake sure that all the negatives about being a victim of crime could beturned around and made into something that is far more positive.
