Opinion: If I were in charge of ... Road safety - Madison and Charlie, four, Hammersmith

1 min read
We think everyone should be careful when they cross the road. We are not allowed to cross the road when the cars are going.

You have to wait for the traffic lights. They have to be red, which means stop and green means go. We have to cross on the zebra crossing.

We have to use our eyes to look where we are going, if we don't use our eyes we will get run over. We have to listen with our ears too, we have to listen to our teachers and the traffic.

We have to hold hands, we have to hold hands with our mums and dads. You're not allowed to walk by yourself.

The lollipop lady is there to help us cross the road. We are going to be careful when we cross the road.
