Opinion: If I Were in charge of ... The government - George Garfoot, 9, West London

1 min read
I would ask people whether they would like to have a king or queen because they have all the good things and we should have the right to have the same things as them. Just because we are citizens we don't get to have the same things as they do like gold, big houses with loads of room, and fantasy stuff.

I wouldn't give any children homework because some of it's really hard and even mothers and fathers can't figure it out, stressing them as well as children. I would give them projects they would like to do. If someone liked dancing they could do a project on that because, when you are older, you have more homework and teachers make you work really hard. Sometimes it really gets to you.

I would keep the Prime Minister because if something really bad happens he takes care of it with George Bush.

Traffic lights are sometimes red, even when there is no traffic, which is really annoying if you are in a rush. I think you should have a big control room so you can tell when traffic is busy and put the green light on when no cars are around.
