Opinion: Hot Issue - Is the consultation around the green paperyouth-friendly?

3 mins read

YES: Michael Grant, 17, member of the board of directors, Connexions Sussex

It's good the way they've actually asked what young people want, instead of just putting out a paper saying this is what we're going to get.

I like the way the questionnaire for young people covers almost every aspect of the green paper. The questions don't just ask young people what they want, they ask them whether they're prepared to get involved.

The only downside is that they don't seem to have produced anything else.

I would have included a document explaining what it's about, because the questionnaire doesn't really do that properly. To answer the questions, young people have to run through the other document to understand what they're actually answering.
