Youth groups in the county will fill in a questionnaire, the results of which will be made into sketches about a day in the life of Charlie Brown. The sketches will be performed in front of local MPs during Local Democracy Week (17 to 23 October).
Youth Matters includes a questionnaire to gather the views of young people, which must be submitted by 4 November. Discussions with the young people about the questionnaire led to the idea of the sketches, said Isabel Vanderheeren, a youth officer at Worcestershire Youth Service. "The young people were concerned about how the questionnaires would be translated by the Department for Education and Skills (DfES)," she said.
Youth workers will also have the chance to give their views on the paper at a series of seminars next month organised by the National Council for Voluntary Youth Services.
Susanne Rauprich, chief executive of the council, said: "These seminars will provide a platform for the sector to discuss concerns such as opportunity cards and the relationship between local government and groups working with young people."
Young People Now is also running a consultation on the green paper. Delegates at YPN's children's trusts conference on 13 September will be able to contribute to the consultation process during the event.
