The Anti-Bullying Alliance (ABA) is delighted that Gordon Brown is responding to the serious issue of bullying, and that he has publicly demonstrated his commitment to make tackling bullying a high priority, by taking part in Beat Bullying's commendable Big Stand campaign.
ABA looks forward to reading his proposals in full when he becomes Prime Minister, and to working with the Government to ensure that bullying is reduced, and that safer environments are created in which children and young people can live, grow, play and learn.
ABA is busy working across its membership of 68 organisations and 10 regional co-ordinators on Anti-Bullying Week 2007 (19-23 November) to build awareness of the impact of bullying on the lives of children and young people, and to ensure good practice in schools and their communities to stop bullying.
