On the Ground: Me & My Youth Worker - 'It's cool to know someone cares'

1 min read
Jay Williams, 17, and Daphne Clifton, business coach and part-time youth worker for Greenwich Youth for Christ

- When did you meet?

Dahpne: "When Jay lobbed a mug at my head. I was coming out of the church I attend in Greenwich about five years ago and Jay and his mates were outside throwing things at people. He looked quite impressed when I caught the mug."

Jay: "Me and friends used to hang about and cause trouble when we were bored. I broke my ring when we were throwing things and Daphne offered to get it fixed. I went back to get it and Daphne told me about Youth for Christ and what it does."

- What types of activities have you done together?
