Me & My Youth Worker - 'I'm starting to make career choices'

1 min read Youth Work
Emma Trevis, 17, and Daniel Alexander Finch, youth worker, All Saints Youth Project in Birmingham.

- How did you meet?

Emma: "I joined the youth project five years ago. Some of my friends started coming, so my mum started bringing me and my sister."

Daniel: "Emma has a younger sister with special educational needs and at the time we were one of the only clubs in Birmingham to have a full inclusion group."

- What types of activities do you run?

Daniel: "We have lots of sport activities, arts and crafts projects and run frequent residentials. We also have a mentoring service and a project to support young parents. Most of our activities focus on confidence building because we believe it's important to empower young people so they can be self-aware and make the right decisions."
