Me & My Youth Worker - 'He knows the conflict that goes on'

1 min read
Daniel Lindsay, 18, and Jason Horne, youth worker for Peterborough City Council's Unity Project.

- How did you meet?

Daniel: "I was at college two years ago and some friends told me about the Peacemaker scheme run by the Unity Project. I heard it provided training for young people who wanted to get involved in youth projects. It sounded good fun so I went for an interview and was accepted."

Jason: "The project brings together young people from different communities and backgrounds. It especially tries to reach young people who might otherwise find themselves in trouble or get into conflict with members of other communities. When we interviewed Daniel, we found out that he'd been in trouble in the past so he sounded like he could really benefit from the scheme."
