The grant of 56,117 over three years goes to the Laurencetown, Lenaderg and Tullylish Community Association to fund two part-time youth worker posts.
The funding the association had already secured last year ended in June 2003 when the youth programme's bid was turned down.
Robert Stockley, community development officer at the community association, said: "The National Lottery has a large- and a medium-sized grant application for the community fund. We failed under the large one so tried again and ended up with less money and five months of a limited youth programme."
One youth worker left when the first round of funding was lost and now the association will employ one primary and one secondary youth worker.
