Grants of up to £1,500 are available to organisations delivering a wide range of community projects, although most are focused on food security and protecting young people and families.
Similar to a number of other supermarkets, the grants are allocated based on votes from the public, with shoppers making their selection through tokens given in stores.
How much is available and when?
The grants help local communities needing a little extra help. Applicants should request the amount of funding they require, from the minimum of £500 to maximum £1,500. If the project is shortlisted and voted first, they will receive the amount they applied for up to £1,500; if second, they will receive the amount up to a maximum of £1,000; and if third, the amount up to a maximum of £500.
