A manifesto produced ahead of Northern Ireland's 7 March elections bythe umbrella body for the province's children's sector, calls on thenext Northern Ireland Assembly to adopt a "child-friendlyprogramme".
This includes banning smacking, stopping the use of anti-socialbehaviour orders against juveniles, and including internationally agreedchildren's rights in a Bill of Rights.
Pauline Leeson, director of Children in Northern Ireland, called for thenew assembly to ensure the 10-year children and young people's strategyaction plan, expected imminently, tackled the needs of the mostvulnerable children.
