News brief: Palliative care for seriously ill children

Too few seriously ill children get palliative care in their last weeks, reveals research by Great Ormond Street Hospital. Despite no change in admission rates, the numbers of children dying in intensive care rose from around 80 per cent in 1997 to 91 per cent in 2004.
