NCB Now: Youth disability election seminar

1 min read
On 27 April the Transition Information Network (TIN), based at CDC, held a special election seminar for disabled young people.

The seminar explained the process of a general election and supported the young people to think about what the government should do to ensure disabled young people are better supported to live their lives.

Rosalind, 21, said: "I want jobs to be more accessible for all disabled young people and training as well. We all have rights as well as everyone else."

Robin, 18, said the government should "make transport better and more accessible".

The young people were really passionate about the rights of disabled young people, and were keen to have their voices heard. TIN will continue to ensure the voices and experiences of disabled young people are at the forefront of everything that we do.
