NCB Now: Seminar focuses on transition care

The latest Transition Information Network seminar, which took place in Birmingham on 25 October, focused on volunteering, work experience, and employment.

The seminars explore the growing recognition that support for disabledyoung people moving into adulthood needs to be improved - andco-ordinating this support across a range of agencies is the only way toachieve best practice.

Workshops on the day included a session run by a young person who hasbeen through the transition experience.

The Transition Information Network is co-ordinated by the Council forDisabled Children, based at NCB. It aims to improve the lives ofdisabled young people by making the transition to adulthood a betterexperience.
