NCB Now: Young people influence design

Two young people from the Children's Centre Project's (CCP) Big Idea steering group attended a conference in London on 23 January to mark the opening of the newly-built Unicorn Children's Theatre, the first purpose-built children's cultural centre in the UK.

The conference, organised by Action for Children's Arts demonstrated howyoung people can contribute their ideas and influence the spaces thatthey want to live, work and be entertained in.

CCP is a partnership project based at NCB, which brings togethernational children's charities to explore collaborative working andcollocation in a shared building.

The steering group is made up of 16 young people who will be activelyinvolved in shaping the resources available in the building.
