NCB Now: Young people and emotional health

A group of young people were among presenters at the NCB Northern Ireland conference held at Dunadry, County Antrim, on 6 December.

The conference, Dealing with Feelings: Promoting and Supporting YoungPeople's Emotional Health, explored the issue of emotional health fromseveral perspectives - research, policy, and the design and delivery ofservices.

The young presenters came from the Getting it Together team, and wereable to provide a young person's perspective on emotional health. Theteam is a group of 12 young people from both sides of the border in thenorth west of Ireland, who worked with NCB to develop the Getting itTogether: Emotional health and young people resource pack.

The pack is aimed at young people, professionals and adults. It containslots of useful information, including a briefing paper on emotionalhealth, messages from young people to service providers and other youngpeople, two sets of activity cards, and a poster to raise awareness ofemotional health.
