NCB Now: Young people have a real part to play

1 min read
NCB has published a resource pack aimed at increasing young people's involvement in community regeneration.

Intended to be a useful tool for both communities and professionals, A Real Part To Play follows a regeneration project showing how young people can be involved. Each chapter contains advice on training and policy issues, as well as suggestions for activities.

The pack draws on the experience of two NCB pilot projects which focused on the promotion of young people's participation in local decision-making.

The projects, Young People Shaping Communities and Helping Neighbourhoods Work, were funded by the lottery and Bridge House Trust. Taking place in Brighton, Coventry and Lewisham they demonstrated young people's ability to engage with influential adults in the community.
