"The Children Act 2004 and the Change for Children agenda are pushingtowards greater integration to ensure that that no child falls throughthe gaps," said Ruth Dalzell, manager of NCB's family support unit.
"However, there are still families who can't or won't access services aswell as parents whose own needs are complex and children who needintensive and ongoing support. Finding ways to work with these familiescan be very challenging."
Vulnerable Families, Vulnerable Children? Exploring intensive familysupport services will look at arrangements for meeting the needs of veryvulnerable families and the issues for those developing policy andservices.
The event will take place at NCB on Monday 5 December.
