NCB Now: Review of innovative interventions

1 min read
NCB Northern Ireland (NCB NI) has produced a comprehensive literature review as part of its evaluation of innovative interventions in early years settings.

The review looks at evidence-based interventions for children from birth to five years of age in the areas of social, emotional and physical development in both home- and setting-based learning environments. These interventions are part of the Making It Work programme, which aims to improve outcomes in three key areas: children's respect for difference; eagerness and ability to learn; and physical and emotional wellbeing.

Joanne McDowell, research officer at NCB NI, said: "The review highlights the most effective interventions in improving child outcomes and the methods used. This literature review will be an excellent resource for practitioners and policymakers in the field of early years."
