In response to demand from the early years sector the event provided an overview of the current frameworks for working with children from birth to three and looked at how to implement them in the workplace.
"The conference's popularity is an indication that the sector is still concerned to improve practice and learn about materials available," said Sue Owen, director of NCB's early childhood unit and chair of the forum.
The unit has produced three resource guides to accompany the Birth to Three Matters Framework training programme.
