In March 2008, Children in Wales will be holding an early yearsconference focusing on issues for disabled children, entitled WorkingTogether From the Start.
Children in Wales has decided to host a conference on this subject as,when children have additional learning needs or are disabled, it isimportant that these are identified at an early stage. It is alsoimportant that the identification leads to early intervention andsupport for the child and their family. This early diagnosis andintervention strengthens the ability of families to provide support fortheir child and improves outcomes for the whole family.
The conference will also consider priorities for service development anddelivery.
