Children in Wales is working with Learning Disability Wales to run information days on supporting parents with learning disabilities.
Parents with learning disabilities are among the most disadvantaged parents and are more likely to have their children looked after by social services. A specialised response is often required but service providers often feel inadequately equipped to work with them effectively.
These events will help delegates improve the support they offer. Participants will learn about recent research and gain a better understanding of how to work with parents who have learning disabilities.
- The events will take place in Cardiff and Wrexham in April. For more information, visit www.childreninwales.org.uk/events
