After the election, partnership agreement must prioritise investment in early years.

Children in Scotland welcomes the consensus among Scotland's politicalparties on improving services for children and young people. But, iturges the parties involved in the post-election partnership agreement toprioritise early years.

The main parties have pledged to improve the lives of children and sharea commitment to invest in the early years, promote the concept of usingschools as a "hub" for services and reduce class sizes.

Chief executive Bronwen Cohen said: "We are pleased to see consensusamong the parties. However, all parties' proposals fall short of theradical need for policy to end the current fragmentation of services foryoung children."
