NCB Now: NCB takes action on patient safety

Throughout January and February this year, NCB has been carrying out consultations with children and young people around patient safety.

NCB was commissioned by the National Patient Safety Agency to find outchildren and young people's experiences of hospitals, local GP surgeriesand dentists, and what they thought should happen when patient safetyincidents occurred and how they could be reduced.

NCB also spoke to the parents of babies who received care in neonatal orintensive care units.

An online questionnaire was also created by NCB.

A report on the consultation. including ideas from children and youngpeople is due soon.

- For more information about participation, contact Janine Young atjyoung@ncb.org.uk or on 020 7843 6092.
