NCB Now: Consultation seeks to stop violence

1 min read
NCB, on behalf of the Home Office, has created participation tools to engage young people aged between 14 and 19 years on the public consultation on violence against women and girls.

The Home Office consultation Together We Can End Violence against Women and Girls will aim to raise awareness and generate debate on what can be done to end violence against women and girls, and overcome its impact.

NCB will be recruiting two schools to perform face-to-face consultations, and recruiting adults who work directly with young people to carry out consultations across England with those who have directly experienced violence. We have also developed an online survey to ensure we capture a broad range of views and ideas from across the country.

Janine Young, NCB's participation lead, said: "We think it's really important that young people from a wide range of backgrounds get the opportunity to be meaningfully involved in the developments of this work. This project will hopefully ensure the government listens to the views of children who have been affected and include their ideas."
