National Day Nurseries Association (NDNA) is pleased to announce that chief executive Prunima Tanuku was awarded the Voluntary and Charitable Sector Award at the Institute of Directors Director of the Year Awards for the Yorkshire and Humber region.
Judges were impressed with Prunima's leadership in helping NDNA become nationally recognised, and her instrumental role in both the development of NDNA's National Early Years Enterprise Centre and its infrastructure, which allows NDNA to support the wider childcare workforce across the UK. Purnima said: "We have worked hard to ensure NDNA is a nationally recognised organisation at all levels in order to represent our members. The award is a great opportunity to raise the profile of the sector in the national business community and receive recognition for its importance in a healthy economy. This year we are celebrating NDNA's 10th birthday, and this award makes these celebrations even more special. This is certainly a real achievement for us."
