"Our special needs inclusion project, which has been running since 2000, aims to ensure pre-school children with special needs can access mainstream private childcare in Jersey. The project places qualified special needs co-ordinators and support workers in nurseries to provide one-to-one support to children with special needs.
"It also provides nurseries with specially adapted equipment to ensure inclusion is a reality for children accessing the project.
"The project's steering group provides an integrated working approach and consists of health, childcare and education professionals. It is jointly funded by the trust, BBC Children in Need, and the Association of Jersey Charities."
