NCB Now: Member focus - Anderida Adolescent Care

Our best practice: Provision charts benefit young people in care.

Anderida Adolescent Care has identified a gap in the provision of service that allows organisations to be able to evidence improvements and progress made in young people's lives. Through research and discussion with other small children's homes across the country, we identified a need and created Progression Charts.

Progression Charts are based on the Every Child Matters headings and are used to clearly demonstrate a young person's achievements and provide attainable, realistic goals for them.

They are of particular benefit to social workers and other professionals, allowing transparency in the care packages we provide and giving a clear breakdown of work and the progress achieved. The Charts have proved to be beneficial in both forward goal planning and as a reflective account of a young person's progress. The feedback we have had so far has been extremely positive.
