Miliband spoke about the positive contribution that children and youngpeople can bring to society and how most young people are "good people"not the stereotype that we often see played out in the media ofdangerous youths with anti-social behaviour orders.
NCB was praised for its partnership work across the children, youngpeople and families' sector. NCB has more than 20 different partnerorganisations operating under its charitable status as well as its ownprojects, covering issues from youth justice to early years.
Young NCB board members were also given the opportunity to quiz EdMiliband on transport for children and young people and personal, socialand health education.
Young NCB board member Melanie Pope introduced the speakers. Theyincluded NCB president, Estelle Morris, Dame Gillian Pugh, NCB's chair,and Paul Ennals, chief executive of NCB.
