NCB Now: CDC -- A voice for the sector

1 min read
CDC has been developing new ways to involve its members in its work.

In May, CDC launched a new members' area on the website where members can see consultation responses and request to respond alongside CDC, as well as viewing upcoming events and displaying their organisation's materials. A discussion area is currently in development.

CDC member benefits include weekly updates summarising policy and practice news from the disabled children's sector and central and local government. Members can also join working groups that focus on key issues for the sector, as well as attend workshops on key policy issues.

CDC represents a range of views from the sector and has recently recruited several new members. CDC recognised a need for input from children's mental health charities and now has YoungMinds on board. With CDC's work increasingly focused on health, CLIC Sargent has been recruited to share its expertise in this area.
