NCB Now: C4EO seeks sector specialists

1 min read
Following its success in providing tailored support for early years services, the Centre for Excellence and Outcomes in Children and Young People's Services (C4EO) is now recruiting sector specialists for its latest work theme, Schools and Communities.

An independent consortium sponsored by the Department for Children, Schools and Families, C4EO aims to improve outcomes for children, young people and families by sharing evidence of what works. C4EO is looking for professionals working in children's trusts with the expertise to help colleagues overcome local challenges. Assignments will be individually tailored, but will be linked to the theme's priorities: narrowing the gap in educational achievement, sustaining 11- to 19-year-olds during transition and strengthening family wellbeing and community cohesion through schools and extended services.

"Local authorities can request free expert support on the specific challenges they face and can receive up to 10 days support for a particular theme," said Sue Rowley, C4EO's assistant director for locality working. "Meanwhile, the sector specialists have the chance to share their knowledge while gaining valuable insights into how others work, which they can then take back to their organisations."
