NCB Now: Big Idea guide gets everyone involved

1 min read
NCB has developed a new publication as part of the Big Idea project, which shows how children and young people can effectively participate in the planning, design and development of the built environment.

The Big Idea, published by NCB on behalf of the Children's CentreProject, aims to involve children and young people in the development ofa flagship building, to house a group of children's charities.

The publication, launched at a seminar at the Office of the Children'sCommissioner on Monday 23 October, follows the journey travelled by theBig Idea steering group. While their journey is not over and the projecthas not yet been completed, the resource documents the processes andprogresses, and provides first-hand accounts of the experiences of thoseinvolved.

The Big Idea demonstrates that the involvement of children and youngpeople is not only possible but essential, and also includes examples ofother projects where they have successfully participated inprojects.
