NCB Now: Free guide on youth participation

1 min read
A new publication from Participation Works, hosted by NCB, provides information and ideas on how organisations can involve children and young people with communication impairments in decision-making.

Participation Works has produced a series of free "how to" guides available to anyone with an interest in youth participation. How to Involve Children and Young People with Communication Impairments in Decision-making outlines key policy and legislation, talks about barriers to youth participation and suggests how to create accessible information and make participation a reality by giving practical ideas.

It also includes a number of case studies showing that such participation is possible and gives some useful links for more information.

Participation Works is a consortium of six national children and young people's charities aiming to enable organisations to effectively involve children and young people in the development, delivery and evaluation of services that affect their lives.
