NCB Now: Fundraisers get involved for NCB

1 min read
The NCB fundraising team is having a very busy season. Sunday 12 July saw tens of thousands of people don their trainers and hit the pavement as part of the annual Asics 10K London Run and 61 people, including 11 staff, ran to raise funds for NCB.

Runners were helped along the route on the day by glorious sunshine and the droves of supporters who turned out to cheer on friends, family and colleagues.

Fundraising efforts have been fantastic, and it's not too late to make a donation as the NCB page is still active.

This month also saw NCB kick off its corporate volunteers programme, with 11 staff from the recruitment agency Eden Brown, which chose NCB as its charity of the year, participating in a volunteering day at St Boniface Catholic Primary School in Tooting, London.

The main task of the day was to paint the outside of the school building and carry out a clean-up of the playground. Parents and staff also got involved on the day, providing refreshments to the volunteers.
