Despite the cold and rainy weather, many runners managed to complete the course in well under an hour, improving on a few personal bests. The route was 10km long and took runners through central London and along the Embankment, past world-famous landmarks such as Big Ben, the London Eye and the Houses of Parliament.
Among the 80 runners taking part for NCB were individuals from some of NCB's corporate supporters: Turner Broadcasting, Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer and CTPartners.
So far, NCB's runners have jointly raised more than £20,000 for the children and young people of England and sponsorship money is still coming in.
If you are interested in running for NCB in the British 10K London Run next summer, or are thinking about taking part in another sponsorship event to raise money for NCB, please email the fundraising team at fundraising@ncb.org.uk.
