The group will hold meetings to consider a range of issues across the youth justice system, including prevention and entry, the court system, custody, vulnerable children, and resettlement. Another meeting will regard the age of criminal responsibility from an international perspective.
The group will also continue to hold its regular meetings on relevant legislation, in particular the expected Improving Schools and Safeguarding Children Bill, and a special meeting that will consider how children's services have been affected since the Baby P case and the recession.
