To my relief, my manager is very positive about my performance so far, and we discuss how to further progress equality both in the workforce and in service provision. I leave feeling fired up and ready to take on the world.
Wednesday: Have a meeting about developing a "Safe Space" quality benchmark scheme for youth settings. The idea originates from a scheme that ensures services are lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender young people-friendly. We talk about how we could broaden this concept out to ensure that no young people are discriminated against, and what it would take to achieve this. It's a really interesting idea, and fits well with our reducing bullying and community cohesion work that's currently developing in settings out of school. My sleeves are getting rolled up further by the day.
